US drug czar released from Boston hospital

I don’t wish illness or bad karma on anyone, but it might be nice if Gil decides to retire and take it easy!

AP The White House drug czar was discharged from a Boston hospital Wednesday, a day after fainting twice because he had the flu.

Drug Policy Director Gil Kerlikowske was discharged from Massachusetts General Hospital at about noon, a spokesman said.

Kerlikowske fainted at about 2 p.m. Tuesday while speaking to law students at Harvard University. Emergency workers treated him at the scene and took him to the hospital, where he was evaluated and released.

Kerlikowske, 61, fainted again at about 6 p.m. at Logan International Airport while on his way back to Washington, D.C.
